Handi wala kala jadu
(pot black magic) is considered an extremely dangerous, malicious form of witchcraft aimed at causing severe harm, illness, or death to a target. It involves dark rituals, often performed in graveyards, using dolls and occult items placed inside a pot (handi) to invoke evil spirits for destruction. [1, 2]
Key Aspects of Handi Wala Jadu:
- Method: A taweez (amulet) is placed inside a handi (clay pot), often along with personal items of the target, and subjected to rituals to harm them.
- Manifestation: It is often described as a flying light or projectile (a “flying handi”) directed at a person’s home or body.
- Origin: This practice is often associated with practitioners in specific regions like Bahawalpur, Multan, and Chishtian.
- Protection: In Islamic tradition, protection is sought through reciting verses from the Quran, including Ayat al-Kursi (the Throne Verse) and the last two Surahs of the Quran (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas).
